I’m not a fan of fried fish, but my husband loves it, plus, it’s a Friday night tradition in Wisconsin. And it’s ALWAYS served with some kind of potato.
The batter on the fish is PERFECT, and although I prefer making things homemade, the pre-made buttermilk pancake mix worked perfectly. The fish was actually really good. I also made my own tarter sauce to bring along. Just mix mayo, lemon juice, some pickle relish, salt and pepper to taste.
Next time, I’d increase the amount of ranch on the potatoes.
